- The Financial and Reporting Specialist will provide assistance to the Controller and CEO in processing payroll, managing accounts receivable and payable, billing, and maintaining Excel spreadsheets
- Generate the necessary reports mandated by various states and municipalities to comply with the Equal Employment Opportunity Law, Affordable Care Act, MWBE and SDVOB regulations, etc.
- Ensure company compliance with business registration, tax requirements, paid family leave, sick leave, disability, workers’ compensation, and other employer mandates
- Reconcile monthly office credit card expenditures
- Manage the client-required insurance certification documentation for GENESYS and our business partners
- Assist with compliance and processing of employment-based work visas
- The Financial and Reporting Specialist will provide back-up support to the Human Resources Coordinator
- Assist employees with 401(k) accounts
- Maintain a cheerful and helpful face to the company via social media, company website, and on-line job postings
- Assist staff with administering our contact management system
- Assist staff with whatever needs to be done
- 4+ years of experience working in bookkeeping roles
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks or similar tool
- Proficient computer skills, with specific knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization skills and a keen eye for detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Competency with multi-tasking
- Strong willingness to become a productive and valuable member of an energetic team
- Ability to manage stress and keep your cool
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Good sense of humor
