Trigyn's direct government client has an immediate need for Java / J2EE Architect in Albany, NY.

Description:The Software Architect will work with the Cloud Engineer to design the rewrite of the system to incorporate appropriate technologies. The Software Architect will coordinate and architect all enhancement requests and defect reconciliation to allow for rapid Agile implementation.The Software Architect will analyze, design and program complex projects including coordinating activities on multiple aspects of the project, assuring quality control, and providing technical guidance to project teams, as well as interfacing with business owners and project management staff.The Software Architect will review business requirements documentation with project team to clarify for technical design, guide systems and program design to meet highly complex business needs, preparation of detailed technical specifications from which programs are developed, and creation of appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code and technical documentation.The Software Architect will prepare development time estimates and justifications for assigned tasks and provide recommendations to project manager, coordinate development activities, selects technologies, design testing plans, assure quality control and effective change control and provide technical guidance to project teams.The Software Architect will consult with the software development team in coding, testing, debugging, implementing, and documenting highly complex programs, and developing complex test plans to verify logic programs; develop and maintain release management process including planning, tracking, communication and coordination of technical tasks associated with release; and support project personnel in resolving complex program problems.The Software Architect will provide guidance to less experienced technical personnel, as well as identify, track, and resolve issues, recommend changes, and provide supporting documentation.

Daily Tasks will include but not limited to the following: Help architect Java applications in a multi-tiered environment. Create diagrams and documentation for application and infrastructure architecture. Help develop and debug Java applications for complex problems pertaining to Health Commerce System.

Mandatory Qualification: Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms. Designs multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of a large scale software system. Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.

84 months experience in overseeing development progress on medium to large-scale technical projects and assuring deliverables and project scope are met and well documented. 84 months experience in application design, coding, testing, maintenance and debugging skills and strong experience with Java 8/J2EE distributed application development, REST, domain model microservices, Spring Boot, and API gateway. 84 months experience in API design and implementation (remote vs local APIs, routing and reverse proxying, load balancing, optimization techniques). 48 months experience creating cloud native application design that can include aspects such as containerization, API-first, serverless and microservices architecture. 60 months experience designing secure applications using security APIs, transport and message layer security, encryption, and decryption algorithms for data security, SAML and multi factor authentication. 48 months experience with developing within a cloud environment, including good knowledge on cloud infrastructure including AWS or GCP 60 months experience using version/source control, continuous integration, deployment and testing. A bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent in a relevant technology field from an accredited institution.
