Robert Half Technology is looking for an Infrastructure Operations Director who will support the day-to-day operational execution of infrastructure services for a growing hi-tech company in the greater Albany, NY area. This permanent employment opportunity with great benefits. Position SummaryThe Infrastructure Operations Director will oversee infrastructure services for our customers, hub locations, and customer hardware. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of planning, implementing, transitioning, operating, and maintaining infrastructure services for multiple enterprise IT programs, including multi-site data center operations with a focus on high availability and connectivity. The Director will also evaluate proposed information systems and lead a team of technologists and engineers. Other responsibilities include formulating project plans, enforcing work standards, participating in IT strategy planning, and addressing performance concerns.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis role involves managing the operations of planning, implementing, transitioning, operating, and maintaining infrastructure, data center, and hosting services across multiple enterprise IT programs. Additionally, the position requires managing multi-site data center operations with focus on high availability, DR/BCP, and wired and wireless connectivity. Responsible for communicating policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to subordinates and interfacing with customer management personnel and other officials relative to operations.Education and ExperienceThe candidate should have relevant education and experience, including 8+ years of prior relevant experience or a Master's degree with 6+ years of prior relevant experience. The Director must have excellent communication skills and experience with Cisco and Aruba switching and wireless technologies, Extreme wireless, Dell Servers, and EMC Storage.
