- Performs other duties as assigned
- Responsible for detailed review of OASIS clinical assessment documentation to ensure appropriateness, accuracy, completeness and compliance.
- Consults with clinical staff. Provides educational guidance to clinicians on code selection, OASIS data item responses, documentation and Plan of Care development. Assures that documentation is consistent with the patient's condition and the reason for services provided.
- Capture the clinical severity for the level of service provided to ensure quality, cost effective care and compliance.
- Works with Agency leadership to address trends that affect the Agency's outcome and process measures noted during OASIS review.
- Provide education and act as a resource to clinicians, supervisors, office staff, and billing staff with regards to OASIS C requirements, CMS guidelines, home care ICD-10 coding, PPS guidelines and billing related issues.
- Assists the Finance Department in creating a Home Health Resource Group (HHRG) and Health Insurance Prospective Payment (HIPPS).
- Assists Agency leadership with achieving corporate goals, analyzing data, improving patient care outcomes and patient satisfaction. Participates in Agency quality assessment/performance improvement initiatives.
