RG19435Position: SQL Server DBA Location: Binghamton, NY Compensation: $75,000 - $90,000 + Excellent Benefits + Relocation Assistance within RegionJob Description:Responsibilities:Monitors and optimizes the performance of the company’s database environments using monitoring tools and queries.Develops SQL scripts, procedures, functions.Evaluates and optimizes database configuration and access.Resolves database performance and capacity issues.Performance monitoring to include capture of key metrics to establish a health baseline.Strong Disaster Recovery/High Availability experience - particularly with MS SQL/Windows Server/VMWare environments.Ability to implement advanced features such as database encryption and replication.Proven expertise with SQL Server Management Studio, SSIS, SSRS, SQL Server Profiler and other Microsoft and third-party tool tools.Effectively troubleshoots problems reported by other teams or users & follow-up to ensure problem is resolved satisfactorily.Clearly documents all procedures and follows best practice change management for configuration changes to IT systems.Assists with disaster recovery planning, events and the recovery of vital information.Collaborates with multiple teams including IT Infrastructure, IT Security, Software Development and Software Test.Qualifications:Requires a degree with a focus in Information Technology.3-5 years of relevant experience in a Windows Server 2012+ environment.2-5 years of progressive experience working as a MS-SQL DBA.Broad server/networking background.Expert knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2012-current.
