Job Description

Broadridge is hiring! We currently are looking for a Senior UI Designer to join our organization. This is an excellent opportunity for you to collaborate with our growing and creative UI team based out of our Deer Park, NY location.

In this role, you will join the UI/UX team supporting our IT Product Development Group. Are you passionate about web design and development? Responsibilities

  • Hand code and customize HTML and CSS.
  • Convert approved mockups to working prototypes using HTML, CSS, and jQuery plugins.
  • Implement UI code and assets into programming environments (mostly .Net; some Java).
  • Ensure development is in accordance with corporate branding; style guides and other requirements.
  • Ensure all web views function as encouraged across our supported browsers. Assist with browser compatibility issues as they arise.
  • Understand and use current W3C standards and industry standards
  • Assist with identifying and evaluating new technologies and methodologies.
  • Build/update wireframe mockups based on requirements provided

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years developing web site front ends.
  • HTML5 and CSS3: proficient hand-coding ability using the best approaches and latest standards
  • Proficiency with jQuery libraries and interfaces
  • Proficiency in crafting/maintaining responsive web design sites
  • Expert ability with Twitter’s Bootstrap framework.
  • HTML Email: solid experience crafting responsive HTML emails
  • Proficiency with coding editors such as Adobe Dreamweaver CC; Sublime Text
  • Cross-browser compatibility: expert ability in testing with IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, browser developer tools.
  • UI/UX: solid grasp of principles; standards and best practices

Additional skills and experience that would be considered a big plus

  • Experience using Visual Studio (2013 or later)
  • JavaScript: intermediate level experience writing/modifying/maintaining vanilla JavaScript code
  • Intermediate experience in developing Angular JS or Liferay
  • Web Accessibility: good experience coding to WCAG standards
  • Experience with Balsamiq; Sketch; Axure; InVision; Adobe XD
