Ecology and Environment, Inc. is seeking a Legal Intern for our office in Lancaster, New York. This position will be responsible for providing support for a variety of legal matters. Our successful candidate will be a first-year law student and available to work part-time during the school year.
Responsibilities:
Document legalization support
Subject matter / legal research
Compliance verifications
Subpoena response support
COI searches support
Contract summaries
Assistance with miscellaneous legal matters
Requirements:
First year law student
Available to work part-time during the school year
Environmental or science background preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and with internet research
Familiarity with Lexis Nexis preferred
Excellent communication, interpersonal, writing, research, organizational and analytical skills
Ability to keep multiple tasks organized and work independently with initiative and follow-through on direction given by members of the Legal team
