Description:Job BackgroundMajor Global Bank Rates Technology is looking to hire an experienced ION MarketView Developer based in New York. The role, as part of the development team, will be responsible for helping manage and upgrade vendor components as well as ensuring the wider ION platform is well maintained and stable. This role is based in NY as part of the NAM Rates eTrading team supporting the flow Rates business.Key Responsibilities• Manage the upgrade, rollout of ION MarketView components• Provide L2 support on ION MarketView components and platform including connectivity to external venues• Work with the team to establish best practice on managing the platform and custom components & help train wider team• Working with the eTrading team to deliver large-scale projects aligned to the flow Rates business• Improving development processes: Includes testing deliverables and reviewing ControlsEssential Experience/Skills• Detailed eTrading experience including CLOB & RFQ,• Managing connectivity to electronic venues including FIX• 5+ Years of Managing ION MarketView platform and components• Experience of the ION MarketView API (Java)• Java• Prior business analysis, data analysis, and project management experience is preferred• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Demonstrated capability to develop and maintain effective work relationships with front-office stakeholders• Proven ability to conduct research/analysis, organize findings and build plans• Exposure to Fixed income (including Derivatives) products• Experience of working with virtual teams will be preferred• Educational Level: Bachelor's Degree required.
