Schedule Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for the completion of set processes and protocols. Works cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, deliver excellent customer service and adhere to Lean processes. Supports the teams in meeting financial, clinical and service goals.Working Hours: Monday through Friday a. 40-hour work week to be determined by the supervisor between the hours of 9:00 am to 6:00 pm ESTIf you reside in New York or Connecticut you’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute from as you take on some tough challenges.Location: Remote in New York and ConnecticutPrimary Responsibilities:

Provide excellent customer service

Scheduling appointments and Reschedule patient appointments as needed using EMR (EPIC) and Scheduling System.

Must possess strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, Management Staff, and Physicians

Demonstrate professionalism in appearance and actions with patients, staff, Physicians and Administrators at all times

Maintains confidentiality of patient information

Maintaining scheduling templates

Answering incoming calls as needed

Adhere to the standards identified via Sparq regarding Optum Employee Policies

Work cohesively with fellow employees to achieve specific team goals

Keep abreast on current medical requirements relevant to their position, which includes maintaining patient confidentiality and abiding by all HIPAA and OSHA requirements

Comfortable working in high pace environment

Assure the continuity of care through scheduling and tracking systems

Comply with administrative policies to ensure quality of care

Cross-train and help in other locations if needed

Other duties may be assigned

High School Diploma / GED (or higher)

1+ years of experience working in a medical front office position performing duties such as scheduling appointments, checking patients in/out, insurance verification, collecting co-pays, and maintaining medical records

1+ years of experience working with NextGen

Intermediate level of computer proficiency (multi-tasking through multiple applications including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word)

Must reside in the state of New York or Connecticut

Access to a designated quiet workspace in your home (separated from non-workspace areas) with the ability to secure Protected Health Information (PHI)

Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high - speed internet connection or leverage an existing high - speed internet service

Preferred Qualifications:

Scheduling Maintenance experience

Bilingual English and Spanish

Knowledge of medical terms

Soft Skills:

Ability to work independently and maintain good judgment and accountability

Demonstrated ability to work well with health care providers

Strong organizational and time management skills

Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet all deadlines

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret information from others
