Title: Software Developer

Location: Corning, NY (Preferred onsite, remote flexibility based on candidate selection.)

Duration: 12 Months

Description:The Client Environmental Technologies Information Technology Team has an immediate need for a software developer. This role will be a combination of project work and operational support responsibilities. The contract position will be replacing a full-time resource that has transitioned to another team within IT.

Travel:The resource is expected to be onsite in Corning, NY but may be asked to conduct some business travel in the US. Currently, travel is delayed, but expected at some date in the future. Potential sites include; Corning, NY, Blacksburg, VA, China, Germany

Must have skillsets:• Relational database experience and best practices (data types, constraints, etc.).• SQL Server experience, specifically TSQL, stored procedures, table/view design, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) package development and SQL Reporting Services (SSRS) development.• Object Oriented programming using .NET for both Win Forms and Web development using VB or C Sharp.• High attention to detail and troubleshooting skills• Thorough at creating technical documentation for systems/solutions he/she develops.• Self-motivator

Desirable Skillsets:• Manufacturing experience for understanding Bill of Materials, Product Routings, OEE, etc.• Team Foundation Studio (TFS) experience for source code management.• IIS knowledge/experience• ASP.MVC• SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and Cube design

Required Education:Bachelor's Degree or higher (this person would potentially be considered for conversion)
