Summary of Role \: GlobalFoundries East Fishkill NY location is seeking a skilled and motivated Automation Engineer to be part of the Product Enablement Development team. GlobalFoundries manufactures a wide variety of Foundry semiconductor products around the globe for many customers. GlobalFoundries is changing the industry that is changing the world. This team is on a transformative journey to improve the quality and efficiency of their mission with having a software engineer to partner with. The product enablement development team is responsible for setting up the infrastructure for products to process products in our fab. This software engineer will design, develop, test, and support applications to automate setup of routes, change control, and experiments interfacing with the current system SiView, the management execution system (MES). Automation opportunity also consists of creating automated checking scripts and user groups to ensure quality of product setup, audit capability, and change control. Other enhancement include real-time web dashboard to track project tasks, data compilation, and system access requests. Essential Responsibilities include\:

  • Demonstrate experience in JAVA programing
  • Experience in R and R-script programming
  • Software management disciplines including change control, development, testing, deployment, and support of systems
  • Demonstrated experience in data mining, manipulating, and merging complex data sets.
  • Have the desire and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the productivity and accuracy of the automation solutions.
  • Build upon the relationships with internal partners such as Manufacturing Automation (MES) CIM team, Product Enablement (Route Build) team, Controls Team, Production Control, Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, and Value Stream Teams as appropriate.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Embrace OneGF by working with peers in other fabs to implement best known processes
Other Responsibilities\:
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Qualification: Required Qualifications\:
  • Education\: Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technologies, Engineering or other related technical discipline
  • Experience\: 0-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with JAVA and R programming
  • Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
