We are seeking a Senior Buyer to work in a direct hire role for our client, who is in the semiconductor industry in East Fishkill, NY.
- Hit the ground running, willing to work independently and take initiative
- Integrate with client systems (Oracle - Procure to Pay, Microsoft 365) and reporting dashboards.
- Assist/lead in the assignment of contracts from a recent acquisition to the client company
- Work with site Logistics Team to transfer and maintain required levels of stocked inventories.
- Work with vendors and be able to foster those relationships within first 6 months.
- Get a handle on market trends, supply situations, and which companies provide the best rates
- Use communication and teamwork skills to gain buy-in from key stakeholders and facilitate a team environment. This will enable cross-functional success (amongst process engineers, equipment engineers, and operators).
- Learn other SOP's and Policies along with all other systems utilized by the client
- Requires working with internal stakeholders at the site as well as counterparts in many other global locations. Good communication, team building, and respect are key to success in this organization.
