Job Description

You and your team will coordinate Kubernetes clusters on on-perm and Amazon Cloud. To succeed in this role, you will need proven expertise in Kubernetes Container Orchestration, Docker Containers, and Amazon AKS. On a day-to-day basis your job will include working with a Sr DevOps engineer crafting various projects in AWS and completing performance testing of KS clusters. You will also ensure we maintain optimum performance, high availability and stability of solutions and Ensure the container orchestration platform (Docker/Kubernetes) is regularly maintained and released to production without any downtime.

  • Increase the efficiency, reliability and performance of Kubernetes by identifying and measuring key indicators, making changes to the production systems in an automated way and evaluating the results
  • Ensure that Kubernetes is maintained accurately by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, performance and system health.
  • Assist development teams to migrate applications to Docker based PaaS platform

Qualifications

  • Experience working as a Senior DevOps/Kubernetes engineer
  • Must have validated prior experience handling a large K8S cluster and scaling it significantly at enterprise scale
  • Must be proficient in generic administration tasks of leading Docker images, container networking and standard infrastructure maintenance tasks on Docker and Kubernetes platform
  • Must have knowledge of Linux kernel options such as control groups and defining application groups to restrict resources
  • Extensive experience in managing workloads in Kubernetes
  • Strong background in Helm Charts, specifically version 3
  • Must have strong understanding of AWS
  • Experience with Terraform, and Jenkins is a plus.
