Description We are offering an opportunity for an Assistant Controller in the industry, located in Melville, New York, United States. The role focuses on assisting with the financial management of the organization, including month-end close, reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.Responsibilities: Assist in the month-end closing process, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements. Perform reconciliations of accounts to maintain accurate records and ensure financial integrity. Process accounts payable, ensuring all financial obligations are met in a timely manner. Manage accounts receivable, ensuring all revenues are properly accounted for and collected. Utilize accounting software systems such as QuickBooks to manage financial data and generate reports. Display proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial data analysis and presentation. Contribute to auditing processes, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards. Assist in handling billing functions, ensuring clients are billed accurately and payments are received on time. Leverage skills in 'Accounting Functions', 'Accounts Payable (AP)', 'Accounts Receivable (AR)', and 'Auditing' to manage and improve the company's financial health. Use knowledge of 'Accounting Software Systems', 'ADP - Financial Services', 'Concur', and 'Crystal Reports' to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.Requirements Proficient in Accounting Software Systems Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services Experience with Concur and Crystal Reports Solid understanding of Accounting Functions Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience in Auditing Knowledge of Billing Functions Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field Proven experience as an Assistant Controller or other similar role Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity Ability to strategize and solve problems Strong time management and organizational skills Understanding of data analysis and forecasting Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines Strong computer skills, including MS Office, particularly Excel Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and procedures Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
