Junior Power BI Associate

Location: Garden City, NY

Duration: contract to hire

Softworld's client is looking for an energetic and collaborative Microsoft Power BI Associate to join their Shared Services team. This department have some legacy applications they are managing, and have started a good deal of depth in the Microsoft Power Platform including Power Automate, Power BI, PowerApps, Power Apps Portal and also manage a substantial SQL Data Warehouse among some of the other functions listed below. A successful individual needs to have in depth knowledge of Power BI platform, SQL, and know how to work with legacy .NET application such as ASP.NET.

Responsibilities:

MS SQL Server data base design, tables, views and data types.

MS stored procedures using TSQL

SQL Server Management Studio including data base back up and restore, SSIS Packages, creating logins, granting privileges, creating and running jobs and remote server links.

MS Analysis Server - SSAS

ODBC and other types of data base connections.

Some Oracle including PS/SQL

Visual Studio .Net

Classic Active Server Pages ASP

Strong knowledge MS Access

Knowledge of MS Webserver IIS.

Maintaining Power BI dashboards and the data sources such as SSAS or SQL Server.

Power BI Report Builder.
