You will:- Apply knowledge and skills in support of emerging technologies like advanced sensors for robotics, automation, and driver assist systems.
- Identify problems and engineer solutions from inception to proof-of-concept.
- Conduct research in new fields to identify and apply novel approaches to challenging problems.
- Advocate the benefit of new technology through effective communication.
- Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to understand the problem and viable solution space.
- Host design reviews to solicit feedback on proposed solutions and iterate to incorporate feedback.
- Stay current on new technology releases in adjacent industries such as automotive, robotics, and automation.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related engineering field (computer, electrical, robotics, systems, mechanical, etc.).
- One year of related experience.
- Proficiency with Python, C/C or other scripted language in robotics applications such as navigation, localization, object identification, etc.
- Understanding of complex systems and how various subsystems interact.
- Ability to interpret data and arrive at actionable insights.
- Business acumen to interpret data to anticipate business trends and challenges.
- Experience with building relationships, facilitating active collaboration and ability to quickly grasp new technical areas.
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience with SLAM.
- Knowledge of the material handling industry, equipment types, and how equipment is used.
- Experience with physics engines such as Unity and Unreal Engine.
