Description: Execute our manual and automated test plans to validate scanner software functionality and user documentation. If there are issue or test abnormalities, the test engineer must be able to properly create a defect report along with tracking defects in a bug tracking tool. Must properly document all deviations to procedures. The test engineer must be able to analyze various results (from testing, documentation issues, setup issues, software bugs, etc). Manages and oversees T&V defects going into test management tool and ensures the defects are well represented in meetings and reviews. Has a good understanding of the defects found by other groups to ensure T&V efforts are adequately finding software issues. Works with the automation and manual test teams to ensure project can be supported within an efficient timeframe. Involved in new ideas and technologies to help promote efficient product testing which includes automation and manual tasks. Efficiently coordinates with other teams such as software, electrical, mechan Qualifications Capable to read and understand technical specifications. Candidates with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a Software Engineering or Computer Science program are preferred. Experience on Windows XP, Win7 and later Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel - very important Familiarity of testing embedded software, i.e. ability to understand basic operation of a development scanner device on a printed circuit board. Knowledge of software life cycle is a plus. Must be task oriented and focused, with attention to detail accuracy. Must be reliable with excellent interpersonal, coordination and verbal/written communication skills
