When you join Baxter as a Technical Specialist I/II, will provide technical support to mechanical engineering activities. This role contributes to design and drawing updates, tolerance analyses, and various other technical deliverables.

What you'll be doing
  • Perform design and drawing updates to support engineering activities
  • Collaborate to develop design solutions to technical challenges with other mechanical team members (engineers, designers, technicians, etc.)
  • Develop tolerance analyses to evaluate complex assemblies for interference conditions and functional spacing
  • Support design efforts through modeling, prototyping, testing, drawing release, and into production
What you'll bring
  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent
  • 2-4 years' of relevant work experience
  • Experience working in a regulated environment such as Medical, Defense or Aerospace
  • Proven ability with 3D Modeling (Creo 7.0 is preferred)
  • Knowledgeable in manufacturing methods, for plastic molded and machined components in particular
  • Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
  • Proficient problem-solving skills
  • Desire to learn and continuously grow into roles with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Flexible team player who is organized, dependable, and proactive
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
