Full-time Educators Needed for Nature Center Camp (Ithaca, NY)

New York, Ithaca 00000 Ithaca USA

Vacancy expired!

Environmental Educator

(Full-time/Seasonal)

The Cayuga Nature Center is currently seeking individuals with experience working in a camp setting and exhibit a passion for the outdoors to join our dynamic crew of environmental educators.

Cayuga Nature Center offers 9 weeks of day camp programming from July 1st to August 30th. Camp educators are responsible for the welfare of a group of 8 -12 children and providing them with quality outdoor and educational opportunities. We believe that the Cayuga Nature Center summer camp is truly different. Since 1986, our campers have been offered a wide range of outdoor activities including daily hikes, fishing skills, and wildlife tracking. In addition, we institute academic activities and educational programs led by community professionals. We believe this helps minimize the effect of summer learning loss and provides a unique summer experience for our campers. With a hundred acres of forest, fields, and streams acting as a living classroom, the possibilities of educational exploration and discovery are unparalleled in our region. We believe the character and integrity of our educators to be a crucial influence on our campers, inspiring continued conservation for the future of our natural world.
