ADC USA, Inc., a hi-tech company is seeking a highly motivated entry level Application Engineer. Located in Lansing, NY.
-Engineer with 4 year degree
-No experience necessary
-Mechanical, Electrical, Physics background
-80% Traveling in 1st year
-40-50% Traveling in 2nd year
-2 year commitment (after 2 years will review what department is best fit for candidate and company)
Position Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will have a proven record that fulfills the majority of these requirements:
-Participate as member of project team in defining the engineering design control instrumentation for the new product.
-Develop highly complex mechanical systems and designs in a concurrent engineering environment from the conceptual stage through completion of the detailed design validation with testing and evaluation must provide performance estimates, cost estimates, material selection, BOM structure etc.
-Work with vendors and internal resources to develop working prototypes of new products, and verify that these prototypes meet all of the required product specifications.
-Work with manufacturing to bring product designs from the engineering prototype phase to production release, address quality or value engineering issues on current shipping products.
-Confer with engineers, customers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and products.
-Design, implement, maintain, and improve instruments, equipment, components, products, and systems.
- Plan, oversee and contribute to fabrication as needed to drive product designs from the engineering prototype phase to production release, address quality or value engineering issues on current shipping products.
-Coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
-Help senior engineers for detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications.
-Develop budgets, estimating labor, material, and construction costs.
-Ability to work well with other team members (Design - Marketing - Manufacturing group).
