In-home care needed for man in 80s with a diagnosis similar to later-stage ALS (please look up symptoms if you are not familiar). Hiring for up to 20h per week, minimum of 6h. Ideal person will be patient, kind, have some scheduling flexibility, and be willing to work with the family.
Tasks: cooking meals, feeding, cleanup, assisting with getting on/off toilet and pad changes, reading or listening music
Requirements: 4wd vehicle or willing to walk up snowy driveway in winter; physically able to help with standing up and sitting down; available at least one weekend day
This is a fairly low-key job interspersed with absolute must-do tasks. Need someone responsible and reliable. Would start out at $25/h and two 3h shifts per week and then if it works out can increase hours and pay.
