Suicide Prevention & Crisis Service of Tompkins County

Job Duties:

Development and implementation of agency policies and plans, including but not limited to, policy formation/review, strategic planning, and attendance at Board meetings.

Hiring and supervision of agency personnel.

Development and implementation of good management practices. Ensuring compliance with all laws, regulations, and policies from the federal, state, stakeholders and agency level.

Achievement of agency financial goals as outlined in the Board approved agency budget, as well as through fundraising, grant writing, and additional sources of new revenue

Represent the agency to the community with the intent of networking and public relations functions. Expand relationships with community partners in all counties served.

Consistently adhere to SPCS's mission, vision, values, policies and procedures.

Perform additional duties as requested by Board of Directors.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree in a relevant field

At least 5 years relevant experience working in the nonprofit sector, including experience supervising staff.

Strongly prefer candidates with experience in development, fiscal management, grant writing, administration and management.

Knowledge of NYS Health & Human services programs.

Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with diverse stakeholders.

Able to travel throughout Tompkins County on a daily basis. Occasional trips within NYS.

Must have scheduling flexibility and ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.

Must be able to manage, prioritize, and successfully complete multiple projects concurrently.

Position is 20 hours/week. Salary 30,000 - 33,000 commensurate with experience. Benefits include friendly staff, a generous paid time-off package, health insurance options, free downtown parking, and pension program.
