Job Summary – Director of Social Work
Allied Community Support Services, a nonprofit organization, is seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Social Work to lead and support our social work and case management team. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, providing clinical supervision, and ensuring that clients receive high-quality, ethical, and client-centered services. The Director of Social Work will guide staff, monitor service delivery, ensure regulatory compliance, and serve as a clinical and administrative resource for complex cases. A Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) is required.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership, supervision, and clinical oversight to social work and case management staff
Ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery and client advocacy
Review and approve assessments, care plans, and progress notes for accuracy and compliance
Support staff with complex cases, ethical decision-making, and crisis situations
Monitor client services in nursing facilities, hospitals, and community settings when needed
Maintain compliance with agency policies, state regulations, and professional standards
Collaborate with healthcare providers, legal professionals, and community partners
Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations
Support program development and continuous quality improvement initiatives
Ensure proper documentation, recordkeeping, and confidentiality
Skills and Qualifications
Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) required
Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) required
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in social work or case management
Supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred
Strong clinical judgment and ethical decision-making skills
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed
