We are a large independent vitamin and nutritional supplements/health food store in Farmingdale. We operate 7 days a week (hours are roughly 9AM to 7PM).
We are looking for an energetic, people-oriented person who is interested in servicing our customers and learning about the many products that we sell. The primary focus of the job will be helping customers to find the products they are looking for, to ring them up on our cash registers, and to help assure a pleasant and satisfying experience. Shelf stocking, order picking, inventory counting and shelf maintenance functions are also part of the job. (Note that we have a need for some use of step ladders to get to product on higher shelves.)
Though we welcome prior experience, we will gladly train an inexperienced but interested and able person. Starting pay is $13/hour for inexperienced people, though we are willing to pay more to match expectations of people with applicable prior experience. Normal work week is 40 hours. Schedule availability to work during our operating hours (e.g. Saturday and Sunday) is a must. The normal schedule for this position will likely include Sunday hours (but probably not regular Saturday hours).
