Our direct government client in Long Island City is looking for 2 Construction Management Facilitators for 100% onsite work:

  • Must work onsite 100% of the time (37.5 hour week)
  • Must work on our W2

Statement of the JobThe person in this position provides business process support for construction-related technology. The individual will be servicing telephone, walk ups and email requests on the Kahua software for the Construction Management Division. The individual will be familiar with Construction Management processes, virtual support techniques, and ideally have knowledge of the Kahua platform. This individual needs to have excellent verbal skills, maintain a courteous tone of voice and good business process troubleshooting skills. They must be able to handle calls made and assign any outstanding requests to the appropriate work groups within the IT and Construction Management departments. He/she will handle assignments including activities which require interaction with project officers, assisting in the Kahua product on how to create pay requisitions, change orders, change management activities, RFIs, daily reports and any other CM related issues or queries relating to Kahua, . The position utilizes one-on-one consultancy to staff and external vendors. The position's responsibilities require independent analysis, communication and problem solving skills. Work is performed with moderate supervision and requires initiative and judgment.Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
  • Respond to incidents reported by end users related to application/ construction management process issues
  • Perform appropriate software application troubleshooting to determine true nature of problem, and utilizing documentation, online assistance and expertise of other staff members, when necessary.
  • Successfully interpret and capture information for classifying requests.
  • Properly route requests requiring additional approval or support.
  • Escalate complex or troublesome issues to software vendor and/or to the appropriate IT application management team
  • Take ownership of tickets assigned to ensure proper follow-up and follow through on issues.
  • Follow and enforce CM policies and procedures.
  • Efficiently manage daily work queue.
Skills:
  • Experience with Kahua or some Construction Management software
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Construction knowledge preferred but not required
  • Ability to handle high volume of calls
  • Excellent written skills to handle email correspondence
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented to handle complex tasks and assignments
  • Calm and patient, with excellent verbal skills in identifying the issue or issues and supplying the solution or solutions.
  • Good team player
