Full Job Description: Responsible for the day-to-day operations, implementation, maintenance, and engineering support of network infrastructure. Monitors and controls the network infrastructure deployment processes and implements system security to provide stable and secure system platforms. Assists with the implementation of new or additional network technology to augment and improve infrastructure services. Collaborates with internal application, infrastructure, help desk, and operation technical teams to achieve company goals and success. Technical Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
- Associate to professional-level knowledge in the areas of IP internetworking, LAN Switching Protocols (MLS, CEF, 802.1Q, STP, HSRP, LACP/PAGP), IP Routing protocols (IS-IS, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).
- Experience configuring and deploying enterprise-class networks, including the following products:
- Cisco Nexus 7k/5k/2k Switches
- Cisco Nexus 9k Switches
- Cisco Catalyst 6500 Switches
- Cisco ASR / ISR Routers
- Cisco Firepower platform
- Cisco Meraki Stack
- Firewall services including site-to-site VPNs, remote-access VPNs, VPN load-balancing features, SSLVPN, Secure Desktop, traffic monitoring and shaping.
- Ability to deploy and maintain virtualized networking based upon CSR routers as well as cloud-based appliances.
- Ability to deploy maintain and support firepower L7 services while building security access-policies.
- Experience with Cisco Umbrella DNS and Secure Internet Gateway (SIG).
- Experience using identity services such as Client integrated with AD and RSA.
- Required to have experience with Cisco FMC across FTDs deployed at multiple locations.
- Experience working with Agile and DevOps methodologies
- Experience with logical design models (L2/L3, Spanning tree, VRF, VTP, VLANs, physical cabling).
- Nice to have understanding of overlay and underlay networking within the realm of ACI/SDN.
- Ability to build versatile contract policies based upon business needs.
- Experience working with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
- Scripting experience with either PowerShell or Python.
- A firm knowledge of networking principles and protocols such as IP subnetting, routing, security and encryption, DNS, etc.
- Ability to support and maintain Cisco UCS and Hyperflex platform utilizing Fabric-interconnects.
- Experience managing Microsoft Azure network infrastructure technologies such as Local Network Gateway's and NSG's.
- 5+ years in a highly technical role that spans multiple disciplines.
- Knowledge of ITIL Service Management principles and ServiceNow platform including ITSM and ITOM.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills as necessary to communicate and coordinate with others on both routine and non-routine matters.
- Ability to resolve problems independently in accordance with defined policies and procedures.
- Ability to work successfully with minimal supervision in an atmosphere of multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadline pressures.
