Position Title\: Principal Eng Test Engineering

Hours\: Monday - Friday, 8\:00 am to 5\:00 pm

Summary of Duties\: Define, develop and maintain product and IP functional failure diagnostic processes during the ramp up. Sustain advanced technology nodes on GLOBALFOUNDRIES' strategic roadmap. Support Product Diagnostics Engineering for these technologies and support multiple products in a foundry environment. Responsible for product functional failure diagnostic with focus on memory (SRAM, MRAM, and OTP) including circuit and layout analysis, failure characterization, statistical data analysis, and yield data analysis, and workflow automation using scripting languages. Drive EDA tool vendor collaboration to develop state-of-the art tools. Prepare product and layout study including detailed semiconductor product and circuit layout study. Relate to failure signatures through understanding of circuit function. Perform design profiling and support design for manufacturing activities. Scan yield analysis, correlation and characterization including correlation with functional and memory testing results, process experiments, electrical test data, and inline. Collect and review parametric data, defect data, as well as product, layout and circuit design to identify the cause of yield killers. Mentor junior engineers to carry out analysis on fail bitmap data. Drive diagnostic signals across technology team, to root cause. Work with test engineers, designers, and product owners to improve yield. Provide team with technical guidance on bitmap analysis DFM related topics. Optimize logic diagnosis simulation (Tessent and TMax) infrastructure and collect key simulation metrics. Perform Oracle and Mongo DB batch query, and volume diagnosis based on bitmap stacking plot on die and block levels. Setup bitmap for products and test sites to visualize the memory failing bits. Participate in machine learning projects for integration of dashboard functions. Qualification: Qualifications\: Requires a Doctorate of Philosophy degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 1 year of experience in the job offered or 1 year of experience in process technology development, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics, Computer Engineering, or related field of study and 4 years of experience in the job offered or 4 years of experience in process technology development, or related occupation OR a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics, Computer Engineering, or related field of study and 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years of experience in process technology development, or related occupation, in lieu of a Doctorate of Philosophy and 1 year of experience.

Requires demonstrated experience in\: product and circuit design, testing, fabrication process, device physics, failure analysis; memory design or test; volume diagnosis tools; semiconductor layout, design for manufacturing practices, weak point analysis; memory design architectures and bitcell level layout; data analysis, statistical analysis, Linux and Python for programming. The required experience can be gained concurrently through graduate-level coursework, internship, research or teaching experience.
