The individual selected for this position will work together with other GlobalFoundries technology development and manufacturing groups at Fab8/9/10. Employee will participate in planning of product level of test & reliability stress, and GF quality controls or customized quality requirements setting up for advanced technical nodes during development phase or technology transfer phase in QR organization . Projects will include development and optimization of new technology qual plan, technology maturity examination, process quality controls setting up, execution and transfer to production line, linking with integration groups and Reliability team. Projects may also include the QR activities coordination and interface with customer. This position may involve the transfer of technology to GF operation groups and you will be located to the Company's Fab 8 site in Malta, NY. Candidates for this position may be expected to cover duty in night shift or weekend. Job Level\:

  • Engineer or senior engineer & principal engineer (L4 or L5 or L6)
Essential Responsibilities Include\:
  • Build GlobalFoundries quality controls for new technology and transfer to production line
  • Build customized qualification plan and QR requirements for new technology process set up
  • Technology quality control during development / qualification stages or customer product phase in
  • Lead the technology maturity checking for new technologies and participate the spec optimization
  • To handle wafer logistic and control the Qualification Hardware between wafer fab, testing and package house to meet project schedule.
  • Lead quality readiness review and continual improvement projects designed to improve on early problem detection and sensitivity and achieve flawless manufacturing ramp up.
  • To manage cross function projects and drive team to meet project goal on schedule
  • Work closely with Process and/or equipment systems modules to ensure effective alignment to and utilization of applicable quality systems (MRB, CAR, RMA, PCM, CRRCetc)
  • Participate and track all process and/or equipment related corrective actions utilizing best and established problem resolution methods/practices.
  • Support Quality System enhancement based on new technology needs
Other Responsibilities\:
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
Qualification: Required Qualifications\:
  • Bachelor, Mater or PhD degree in Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of semiconductor manufacturing and/or research experience for Bachelor degree
Preferred Qualifications\:
  • Master's degree in engineering or related field
  • Experience in advanced technology manufacturing or developments.
  • Experience in cross function / cross company project management
  • Knowledge of advance technology manufacturing process
  • Wide-ranging expertise in advanced technology development or manufacturing.
  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing process and quality systems like SPC , FDC, PCRB , MRB etc
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well within a global matrixed team
  • Ability to work in a team environment and strong work ethics are essential.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, influencing, and time management skills.
