Summary of Role\: GLOBALFOUNDRIES Fab 8 is seeking an Integration Engineer to support the 300mm semiconductor manufacturing and development in Malta, New York. The core responsibilities are design, execution, and analysis of experiments aimed at the creation and optimization of leading-edge silicon transistor technology (Photonics and RF SOI technology) within a development environment. This includes both physical and electrical data analysis, as well as extensive interaction with other technology development teams (FEOL integration modules, unit process, reliability, and modeling). In addition to the achievement of industry-leading device characteristics, variability and reliability has to be controlled to ensure manufacturability. Interaction with customer design groups is also a facet of this position in order to define technology requirements and parametric goals for GLOBALFOUNDRIES technology roadmaps Essential Responsibilities\:- Design, execute, and analysis of experiments aimed at the creation and optimization of leading-edge silicon transistor technology (Photonics and RF SOI technology) within a development environment.
- Physical and electrical data analysis.
- Extensive interaction with other technology development teams (FEOL integration modules, unit process, reliability, and modeling).
- Achieve industry-leading device characteristics, variability and reliability
- Interact with customer design groups to define technology requirements and parametric goals for GLOBALFOUNDRIES technology roadmaps.
- Master Degree with 3+ years of working experience in relevant fields. Degree must be in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics or other relevant engineering physical science discipline.
- Experience in Si photonics edge coupler integration or RF SOI integration is plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written
- PHD with 5+ years of working experience in relevant fields. Degree must be in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics or other relevant engineering physical science discipline.
- Results oriented and focused on quality of work
- Excellent structured problem solving and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams, clients, as well as internal and external partners.
- Strong presentation and technical writing skills
- Self-starter and highly motivated to succeed in a fast-paced and challenging professional environment
- Strong background in photonics and CMOS device physics, semiconductor processing, and device characterization.
