RG19608Position: Quant Developer / Software Engineer - Fintech / Hedge FundLocation: New York City, NYCompensation: $100,000 - $200,000 + Excellent Benefits + Paid RelocationThis is a hybrid / remote position.Job Description:This Client is an $8.4 billion asset management firm specializing in structured products across both public and private markets. The Firm offers a diverse platform of alternative, long-only and opportunistic strategies as well as CLO management. Headquartered in New York City, founded in 2010 this major hedge fund is looking for a Software Developer/Quant Developer responsible for working closely with the investment, quantitative research, and technology teams to build sophisticated software solutions using statistical techniques and technologies to help manage risk, generate predictive analytics and build core infrastructure. The ideal candidate will contribute to multiple projects simultaneously across all parts of the business as well as help to establish technical standards.Qualifications: BS in Computer Science or an equivalent degree from a top university required.1-2+ years experience as a software engineer/quant developer in a hedge fund or fintech environment required.Very strong programming and software design skills (Python, C, and R).Strong SQL and database design skills, experience building ETL pipelines.Strong communicator, flexible personality, organized, driven.Knowledge of structured products and/or risk management in a fixed-income environment a plus.Experience with integrating data/memory-intensive processes to a cloud-based environment a plus.Experience with any of the following: JavaScript, typescript, React, AG-Grid, Python Flask a plus.
