New York, New york city, 10261 New york city USA

Vacancy expired!

At Facebook Reality Labs we aim to bring together the brightest cross-disciplinary minds in one place to deliver on our mission: build tools that help people feel connected, anytime, anywhere. As an Analog Design Electrical Engineer, you will design, build, and test prototype electrical systems for future consumer experiences within Facebook's Family of Products. You will become part of a team exploring new concepts through fast iterative prototyping. You will work cross-functionally with teams that will dynamically change depending on the problem and potentially include mechanical, optical, firmware, software, and research experts. We want people who work well in teams, can take a board definition and implement with electrical schematic and layout, and can transition these designs into a high-volume consumer product.

  • Designing and developing analog circuits used in power management ICs, ADC, audio amplifiers, instrumentation amplifiers, charging IC, and battery management.
  • Understand, mitigate, and manage issues of signal and power integrity through circuit simulations, circuit modeling, and use case analysis.

  • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or any equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of analog design experience, including advanced circuit simulation skills.
  • Experience in lab testing of mixed-signal circuits and experience in using spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, etc. to validate analog designs.

  • MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of industry experience.
  • Experience in leading mixed-signal development teams from initial architectural definition, specification, circuit development, layout, tapeout, silicon bringup and production ramp.
  • Understanding of power topologies such as buck, boost, buck-boost, charge pumps, LDOs.
  • Understanding of control architectures such as current mode, voltage mode, and hysteretic mode for applications include DC/DC converters, LED drivers, battery management circuits, LDOs, temperature sensors.
  • Experience crafting analog mixed signal circuit blocks including ADCs, DACs, PLLs, DLLs, filters, bandgap, biasing circuits, LDO regulators, amplifiers, comparators, switched-cap circuits and oscillators.
  • Knowledge of analog mixed-signal concepts like mismatch mitigation, linearity, stability, low-power and low-noise techniques.
  • Knowledge of ESD requirements.
  • Experience in high volume consumer products.
  • Experience with circuit design tools and flows, including circuit simulation (Spice, Spectre, ADS) and modeling (MATLAB).
  • Experience in low power mobile electronics.
  • Medical device experience.
