This role will be onsite 3 days per week in NYC and 2 days remoteOur client, a global Property & Casualty Insurance company is seeking a very strong data analyst to support their Actuarial and Finance Reserving team.
Requirements:- Advanced skills in SQL with the ability to interpret and debug complex SQL queries along with performance tuning. MS SQL Server experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel is required.
- Working within the Technical Reserving team to manage and compile the data sets used in the reserving process.
- Produce a range of core and ad hoc reports to support the quarterly reserving process.
- Working with Finance to reconcile the data used in the quarterly reserve analysis and the results of the quarterly reserving analysis.
- Self-starter, detail oriented, quick learner, deadline driven and able to work relatively independently with direction.
- Exceptional problem solving, organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent communicator.
- Some P&C actuarial science knowledge (e.g. Pricing, Reserving), is a major plus
