- Work as part of a Data Analytics team responsible for offering solutions related to efficiency and normalization of multiple data streams for a high visibility line of business within the organization
- This group is part of a Securities Lending organization that is responsible for facilitating short sales for clients including Hedge Funds and Internal Trading Desks
- The Desk manages some of the firm's most important relationships and deals with a wide range of asset types: equities (international and domestic) and bonds
- The ideal candidate will have significant experience working with Python but offer a broad development background to offer context to the role but not someone who is a hands-on developer currently
- Some systems/platform architect experience would be beneficial
- Heavy data engineering background including Oracle (Exadata), SQL Server, Sybase or other related dBs
- Optimum dB design - indexing, MVs, performance tuning and monitoring
- Understanding of Agile Concepts
- Experience with Test Driven Development
- Knowledge of securities lending, stock loan / equity swaps a plus
- Knowledge of the trade lifecycle (Trading, Middle Office, Settlements) a plus
- Relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
- Solid work ethic and highly motivated
- Significant emphasis on critical thinking and problem solving, must embrace challenges and help to author solutions
- Hard working and strong willingness to learn
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must
- Detail orientated and driven personality
- Ability to be flexible within a team environment
- Able to work as a W2 employee of Genesis10 (no Corp-to-Corp)
