Senior Data Scientist (NYC or Denver) Private Equity firm that invests directly in low cost oil and gas assets is seeking a Senior Data Scientist.

The role: Data scientist who can take business data, analyze it and use to better business strategy and make them a more data driven firm. Working with the investment team in NYC and the Engineering team in Denver to make use of data but also lead them in how data science can help manage their business needs better. Must have technical ability to code and analyze, aggregate data. This is an opportunity to get involved in a growing firm and see the growth and changes firsthand. Strong communication is key as this person will be sitting and engaging with business partners and other members of leadership. This is a more than a data science role, they need a visionary to help take the business further and an opportunity to help the firm build out their data science team. Managing partners will be leaning on expertise and experience from this person to drive initiatives and strategy. This person will be able to drives business outcomes from a data science perspective.

Qualifications: - 5-12 yrs experience in Data science. - Masters Preferred - Strong background in analytics, prior experience in energy or PE helpful but not needed
