JOB Description:

FICC Supervisory is a horizontal application used across all Line of Businesses ( LOB's) in FICC for trade and orders surveillance. This is primarily used by Supervisors and BCO to identify and report miss conduct trading activity as first line of defense. It's extremely critical regulatory facing application and is responsible to resolve many Audit and regulatory time sensitive deliverables. Candidate will be responsible for working closely with Supervisors and BCOs and global team to implement first line surveillance across FICC, Re-architecting the framework to provide much needed stability and scalability.

Responsible for designing and developing complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Ensures that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. Ensures solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Possess strong proficiency in development and testing practices common to the industry, and have extensive experience of using design and architectural patterns. At this level, specializations start to form in either Architecture, Test Engineering or DevOp. Contributes to story refinement/defining requirements. Participates and guides team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle. Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas. Codes solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements. Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements. Assists team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work. Designs/develops/modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained. Designs/develops/maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance). Sets up and develops a continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline. Automates manual release activities. Mentors other Software Engineers and coaches team on CI-CD practices and automating tool stack. Individual contributor.

Responsibilities: .
  • Work on venue integration for order feed and implementing order surveillance.
  • Work on reducing false positive alerts and market volatility based thresholds
  • Work on improving the current architecture of the application by redesigning it in parallel to delivering committed items.
  • Work with BCO.s and Supervisors to gather the requirements. Work closely with Front office users to gather requirements and perform requirement analysis. .
  • Design and develop software to implement new requirements like MAR reports, Worm compliance etc . Improve the current architecture to make it more scalable and reusable.
  • Work on enhancing existing software to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Manage on-shore and offshore team, make sure that work is delivered on timely manner.
  • Perform system analysis to evaluate messages, database and application performance and work Infrastructure team to get it updated.

Requirement:
  • 5+ years of Python development experience is must have
  • 2+ years of Java development is good to have
  • 5+ years of Object oriented programming experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Fixed income trading/risk management/p/l application development is must have
  • 2+ experience in HTML5 development .
  • Very good communication skills .
Education:
  • Bachelor in CS or equivalent.
