- Support/manage and Install Red Hat based Linux systems.
- Responsible for finding ways to improve and automate SRE items which include availability, latency, performance, efficiency and capacity planning.
- Troubleshooting support and system performance issues.
- Handling of trouble tickets, user requests, proactive maintenance.
- Support weekend BCP / DR tests.
- Assist application teams in post-configuration of new servers deployed.
- Good understanding of ITIL and Change Management policies.
- Coordination with Infrastructure teams and Business IT managers to deliver projects on schedule.
- Implement engineered solutions to improve efficiency and stability of the infrastructure.
- Provide documentation for 1 st line Operations team and maintain run books.
- Weekend on-call production support on a rotation basis.
- Red Hat Linux 7.x and 8.x Administrator Red Hat Operating system.
- Ability to support and in-depth knowledge of Cisco UCS preferred.
- Veritas Cluster / Volume manager, Manage Veritas based clusters.
- Ability to configure and support Red Hat native clusters is preferred.
- Ability to provide support for LDAP and Kerberos is preferred.
- Experience in VMware administration, Site recovery manager. (SRM)
- Experience with Red Hat Satellite, Ansible configuration and automation, Kubernetes, Docker.
- Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering components
- Deep understanding of Red Hat Linux OS, Cloud and associated tools.
- Red Hat Satellite, Ansible Automation, Kubernetes, Docker.
- DNS, NTP, LDAP, Kerberos.
- Strong understanding of Virtual (VMware) and physical networking configuration.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot issues and provide resolution.
- Knowledge of veritas product including veritas volume manager, Cluster server OR experience with Red Hat Clustering.
- Python and Bash scripting is preferred.
- Ability and desire to learn and work independently as well as in a team
- Project management and organizational skills.
- Strong written/verbal communication skills are a must.
- Strong understanding/experience with Red Hat Linux and related technologies.
- Analytical and disciplined approach to problem solving.
- Previous experience with supporting a banking infrastructure is preferred.
- TCP/IP, NFS, Networks and Firewalls.
- Client/Server systems
- Familiarity with Enterprise Monitoring systems is desirable
- Good understanding of Information Security policies.
