Lead Data Engineer Our client is reinventing how a storied brand, steeped in journalism and business, adapts to today's digital-first world. The digital transformation of our client from a print magazine to a multi-channel media company is in full swing, and they want you to be a part of it. Their Data Team is an integral part of our growth strategy and core to becoming a data driven organization. We are seeking a Lead Data Engineer focused on both building and expanding their infrastructure, as well as leading the Data Team. This role will lead their data strategy, architecture and engineering efforts. It's a hands-on role reporting directly to the CTO.The Job:- Maintain Redshift data warehouse and supporting ETL jobs
- Integrate new data sources to power real time business reporting
- Support / Maintain 500 database applications
- Collaborating with Product Management and Business Stakeholders for elegant data solutions
- Manage and Mentor data developers
- 4+ years experience building ETL and data pipelines
- 4+ years Python experience
- 4+ years experience with SQL RDBMS / Redshift
- 2+ years of experience integrating with 3rd Party API's.
- 2+ years of experience AWS / Google Cloud Platform / Azure
- Experience with GA / GTM / Data Studio
- Experience with Tableau / PowerBI / Looker
- Knowledge working within an Agile and/or Lean methodology, using JIRA, Confluence or similar project management tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Being a team player and ability to adapt, learn and move fast.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
