Job Description: Active Directory The Active Directory Engineer is responsible for providing operational and project support for an enterprise Active Directory environment. The Active Directory Engineer is required to have expert technical knowledge and understanding of Active Directory including experience supporting large-scale and highly complex environments. As a Senior Active Directory Engineer you will work closely with multiple technology teams to ensure the security, stability, and resiliency of our global Active Directory infrastructure.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Strong experience with enterprise scale multi forest design including trust types, replication topology, data tagging, least privilege access controls, and group policy management.
  • Strong knowledge of advanced Active Directory security concepts and common threat vectors, as well as mitigation approaches and knowledge of isolation.
  • Strong experience in the design/upgrade/maintenance of all facets of enterprise scale Active Directory environment(s) comprised of multiple forests/domains.
  • Experience with enterprise backup and disaster recovery across multiple forests and domains.
  • Excellent LDAP skills and knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot connectivity and search issues.
  • Past experience with integrating mergers and acquisitions into corporate AD environments.
  • Strong knowledge of networking and the ability to triage firewall and routing issues.
  • Working knowledge of Azure AD is essential experience with other cloud providers.
  • Strong understanding of health and resilience of the infrastructure pointing out weak points and opportunities to improve monitoring and security.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with PowerShell. Ability to produce automated metrics and reporting data is essential.
  • Self-motivated Self-learner, with keen attention to detail and excellent judgment skills
  • Must have excellent writing and communication skills, strong communicator with ability to maintain open communication with internal employees, contractors, managers, 3rd parties, and customers as needed
  • Documentation, leadership, and strategic planning experience in IAM and Role Based Access Control initiatives desired but not required.

Experience and knowledge
  • Experience with Windows Azure, AWS or other public Cloud technologies
  • Troubleshoot and resolve low to high complexity issues and incidents
  • Participate in or lead complex or high severity troubleshooting and incident problem resolutions with other infrastructure teams or vendors
  • Plan and implement low to highly complex changes to the environment - Perform common responsibilities such as domain controller promotion and demotion, organizational unit setup and delegation of administration, group policy creation and modification, administration of AD sites, subnets and site links, and schema changes
  • Analyze data and identify trends to facilitate root cause analysis and identify opportunities for service improvement.
  • Ensure the security and compliance of the Active Directory environment
  • Create and update standard operating procedure documentation
  • Manage the backup and restore of Active Directory
  • Participate in capacity planning, performance monitoring and maintenance to ensure high availability and proactively identify opportunities for service improvement

Basic Qualifications:
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent certification, or military experience
  • Minimum of 8 year IT experience
  • Minimum of 6 years of Active Directory technical experience that includes the operational support and implementation of large-scale, enterprise level solutions
  • Proven experience effectively communicating technical issues\challenges to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering
  • Solid understanding of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) principles
  • Experience with Windows Server 2008, 12, and 2016 Active Directory
  • Experience with Windows Azure, AWS or other public Cloud technologies
  • Experience in VBScript or PowerShell to develop complex automation scripts
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or an equivalent certification
  • Active Directory - Expert 6-8 Years
  • LDAP (4) - Very Good 6-8 Years
  • MS - Windows - Expert 6-8 Years
