Domain Architect is accountable for developing and solutioning for the Wealth Management business areas. The ideal candidate demonstrates highly effective communication skills and can conduct and manage conversations with C-level business and technology executives. The candidate should have demonstratable experience in developing end to end application, data, integration, cloud, and security architectures. The Domain Architect is responsible to align business capabilities, delivery, cost estimates and overseeing the execution in accordance with the set-forth architecture.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for setting architecture vision within a Wealth Management Business Domain
  • Responsible for managing Wealth Management business capability architecture
  • Transform very high-level requirements into specific implementation strategies furthering the Wealth Management multi-year technology roadmap
  • Effectively own, manage and communicate with business leaders to solve critical business problems
  • Establishes solution intent and initial estimate for all new work
  • Maintains consistency of architectures and the principles applied across a Wealth Management Business Domain
  • Governs the application of architectures and principles applied to solutions
  • Works with and across other leaders, architects and implementation leads to ensure that the architecture aligns and is consistent with both design guidelines and enterprise architecture standards
  • Understands and augments the solution architecture and design to address integrations being applied across businesses, applications, technologies, and services
  • Defines and prioritizes technology enablers and application decommissioning opportunities, based on business priorities
  • Partners with architecture stakeholders across the organization, such as other LOB Domain, Integration, Data, Security and Enterprise Architecture
  • Understands technology standards, policies and procedures and emerging technologies and applies this knowledge

Insurance and Financial Services Domain Experience:
  • Proven experience as a domain, release train or solution architect for financial services, preferably in wealth management area, commercial or retail insurance
  • Ability to understand, document and propose technology solutions for Fortune 500 enterprise, particularly within the insurance / agency domain
  • Demonstrable experience in understanding insurance technology patterns and implementation of technology capabilities using these technology patterns
