A NYS agency located in New York, NY is looking for an Asset Management Lifecycle Specialist for a 12 month contract.

Requirements and skills

  • A bachelor's degree in a technical or business management discipline
  • A depth of experience and expertise in some or all of the following asset management practices:
  • IT commodity, services, assets
  • Policy and Strategy Development
  • Asset Inventory Architecture, Information Management, and Maintenance Systems
  • Risk Analyses and Management
  • Asset Investment Planning, Decision Making and Management
  • Maintenance Management
  • Levels of service and performance framework development
  • Management Systems Development, Review, and Auditing
  • Business Change Management/Business Process Improvement
  • Experience with ServiceNow
  • Experience in project management related to infrastructure asset management
  • Experience working together with diverse teams including engineers, operations and maintenance staff, planners, and managers
  • Aptitude to apply your knowledge across any infrastructure including transportation, support, mobile, and facilities
  • A thorough understanding of at least one, and awareness of other, international standards for asset management practices including ISO 55000, PAS 55, AMBC, or IIMM
  • Excellent written and spoken English and presentation skills
  • Experience in asset management application training is an asset
  • 6+ years' experience with developing and executing new processes.
  • 4-6 years' experience with ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will help ensure that asset management best practices and standards such as ISO 55000 Asset Management Standard and Asset Management as a Service are researched, tailored and adopted by the agency to keep abreast of industry trends.
  • Develop & Manage IT Marketplace catalogue services
  • Develop Agile methodologies to support a product-based IT organization
  • ServiceNow Asset Tracking and Backorder Tracking
  • Establish Asset tracking and monitoring protocols
  • Ensure asset tracking through real-time update of asset status, ownership, maintenance and 'fitness for use'
  • Ensure all devices are in the ServiceNow System and that the data in that system is current and accurate
  • Identify Asset Risks
  • End to end asset lifecycle
  • Asset Performance
  • Contract management
  • Vendor Performance and SLA delivery
  • Establish asset onboarding and offboarding workflows
  • Provisioning of assets based on MTA policies and procedures

  • This resource will assist and support the organization's effort to develop their asset management capability and marketplace, assist in develop LiveCycle management, & marketplace strategies and plans, develop models and tools, and advise in identify process improvements in any aspect of asset lifecycle, assist and coordinate within IT Business & Planning office, IT Infrastructure & Operations, IT Security and IT Product Management, agency Procurement.
  • This person will also help identify emerging market and industry trends to enable to play an active role in the asset management marketplace.
  • The selected candidate will assist and support the team responsible for the life-cycle management of technology and operational assets (including mobile) throughout the agencies. This includes managing the administration of IT inventory, asset management lifecycle, developing customer technology marketplace, streamline process, developing service catalogue, technical service contracts, fulfillment and recovery.
  • The position will help to maintain and improve IT purchasing standards and procedures, as well as follows the market technology trends.
