Role Description

The Portfolio Analytics Group (PAG) within BlackRock Solutions delivers actionable insights to our investment and client-facing teams, grounded in our proficiency of Aladdin data, technology and processes. PAG collaborates with investors, risk managers, portfolio consultants and client-facing sales and relationship management teams to address clients' challenges with innovative analytics and technical solutions - delivered with the scale of Aladdin across all asset classes and client segments.

The Analytics Content Management (ACM) Team within PAG supports an ambitious agenda to ensure Aladdin's risk management capabilities define the state-of-the-practice working closely with financial modelers, engineers, product managers, and users of Aladdin. The Team is searching for new associates in to work on Mortgage Analytics

Key Opportunities
  • Collaborate with our Financial Modeling Group and partners in the broader BlackRock Solutions and Aladdin Product Group teams to design, test and deploy models and analytics
  • Engage with clients and prospects both directly and indirectly through relationship managers to provide subject matter expertise and to capture product feedback and user stories
  • Orchestrate the model development lifecycle for specifications/requirements, data and infrastructure planning, user acceptance testing, deployment and release communications
  • Engage with partner teams that manage production and quality control processes and provide subject matter expertise and coordination to resolve client inquiries that are raised by Aladdin Client Service
  • Author and maintain documentation around models and related infrastructure

Qualifications
  • 4-6 years of business analyst-related experience relevant to the development, deployment, and application of models and analytics within the mortgage analytics or performance attribution areas
  • Demonstrated success in project management with financial modelers, engineers, and product managers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document use cases and user stories, write specifications, deliver presentations, communicate up and down the organization and influence partners and stakeholders, both technical and non-technical
  • Ability to navigate a technical environment using scripting skills (e.g. Python), SQL, advanced excel to scale activities such as model validation and software testing. Ability to read and interpret code is a plus, however, this is not a dedicated developer role
  • Resourceful, proactive and able to prioritize and navigate in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced degree preferred. Bachelor's degree required
