The team is comprised of 800+ professionals responsible for implementing and supporting our Aladdin clients, sales and marketing, and ensuring the Aladdin Community maximizes Aladdin products through engagement and education.

Role Description

The Portfolio Analytics Group within BlackRock Solutions delivers actionable insights through our proficiency of Aladdin data, technology, and processes. Our team collaborates with investors, risk managers, portfolio consultants and Aladdin business teams to solve client challenges. With innovative technology solutions, delivered with the scale of Aladdin across all asset classes and client segments, we ensure successful, high impact delivery of results aligned with our stakeholders' priorities.

We are seeking an Associate to join our team in New York to focus on Analytics Platform initiatives. Your primary focus will be on improving Aladdin Studio capabilities to engage and enable citizen developers across the Aladdin client community. You will also be involved in establishing accurate governance framework to guard against downside risk.

Key Responsibilities:

Establish comprehensive Analytics API surface in collaboration with our Aladdin Product Group
Design and build SDK for citizen developers to easily, safely and consistently demonstrate the power of Aladdin through the APIs
Collaborate with client-facing teams to drive usage of Aladdin Studio and ultimately deliver outstanding client experience through Aladdin as a Platform
Prototype tactical solutions and partner with technology departments to evolve tactical solutions into scalable products that can be offered commercially
Design, implement and support new analytical capabilities with partner teams to address new requirements and enable new opportunities
Apply strong project management skills to all product responsibilities: set agenda, drive tone, provide direction to individual team members, coordinate execution, and communicate out to partners
Serve as an ambassador for our solutions externally and participate in business development activities
Build inclusive teams across the community of internal groups and influence key partners and project sponsors to achieve greater consensus
Respond to inquiries and enhancement requests from clients and serve as the subject matter expert in internal & external client discussions

Qualifications

3-6 years in a highly analytical role in a technology or financial services setting
Strong critical thinking skills and confirmed experience using technology to solve problems at scale
Relentless desire for understanding how processes work. Creativity in solving unconventional problems, entrepreneurial drive to learn new skills and technologies
Solid understanding and experience with Python, SQL, UNIX, git, APIs. Experience with ETL and Cloud platforms a plus
Outstanding communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex concepts simply and clearly
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
