Our client, a leading global financial services company, is seeking to hire a

Full Time Lead Java Developer/Engineer. This position is

100% Remote, and is an AD level position.

The Team: Web platform team is responsible for the design and development of large-scale systems and generate reports based on business needs.

The Impact: You will be working on one of the core technology platforms responsible for prototyping new indices.

This role requires a seasoned engineer who works effectively, both independently as well as collaboratively, in a team environment. The candidate must be a delivery-focused person with financial applications experience and skills. The candidate will assist with designing, development and maintenance of solutions for multiple technology platforms, that technology team supports Responsibilities: • Design and develop software based on business requirements, workflows and use cases; execute and maintain the test cases and document test results • Drive the setup, configuration, and maintenance of environment and framework • Actively participate in continuous improvement of testing processes and procedures by analyzing reported bugs/issues with a strong emphasis on using automation to shorten the SDLC • Mentoring & providing technical guidance to team members • Provide effective communication regarding issues, testing status and potential risks • Eager to learn new technologies and approaches and be part of a very progressive test team

Basic Qualification

Hands on experience in designing, developing, testing and successfully deploying critical and complex projects
Strong Java skills with experience in development of concurrent systems
Good experience with Spring-based technologies (Spring Boot etc.)
Experience in designing and implementing micro services-based solutions
Should have experience writing unit/integration tests
Experience writing SQL queries and good understanding of data model
Exposure to Cloud, preferably AWS
Exposure to containers (good to have)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering is required, or in lieu, a demonstrated equivalence in work experience
