Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Associate Web Developer for a fulltime employee position with a financial services firm in New York City.This client is expanding their technology footprint into emerging, cutting edge technologies and ramping up to support projects involving blockchain, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. The Technology Development team develops software to address the needs of a mortgage investment landscape that is undergoing rapid change. Responsibilities:
- Software and Database Design: Responsible for implementing, developing, and maintaining all aspects of internal software applications across platforms. This includes desktop applications, web applications, and financial models.
- 2 - 3years of experience on a technical team delivering technical solutions using advanced Object Oriented Design and Development skills.
- Hands on development experience with Javascript, React, Redux, Typescript, Node, and SQL
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to convey technical concepts in a simple manner.
- Prior experience working within the Financial Services industry or similar fast paced environment is a strong plus.
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Mathematics, or relevant field.
- Experience working with fixed income securities with a preference for mortgages
- AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes (containerization)
