- Manage the analysis, design and development of the applications through interaction with internal developers and QA staff within and across scrum teams
- Supervise and advise the scrum team to meet software expectations
- Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product
- Understand the client's needs and work together with the scrum team to specify business and functional requirements
- Work closely with the team's Product Manager to prioritize enhancements based on business value
- Communicate effectively with scrum team members to achieve project goals
- Train end users and client support staff on the operation of the applications
- Gather requirements and feedback from the client's business users (traders) and technologists
- Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
- Coordinate with other Product Owners and scrum teams for software builds and releases
- 2+ years' experience as a product owner or similar capacity in the financial services industry
- Bachelor's Degree
- Fixed income domain knowledge
- Knowledge of Agile principles and process
- Knowledge of Jira, Jira Align, MS Visio, Word, Excel, Photoshop/Ulead PhotoImpact (or equivalent graphics package for screenshots), and basic SQL queries
- Candidate must be articulate, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to think broadly (across products and functions) and conceptualize practical solutions balancing user requirements with technical constraints
- Excellent attention to detail
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
- Successful track record of developing products within deadlines
- FIX experience, specifically FIX for Fixed Income
- Familiarity with Bloomberg TOMS/AIM or the major fixed income ECNs (ALLQ, ICE TMC, ICE BondPoint, Tradeweb, MarketAxess)
- Experience working directly with traders on a desk
