The PBWM Franchise Risk Organization is a newly created team within Personal Banking & Wealth Management (PBWM). The Franchise Risk Organization partners with US Personal Banking and Citi Global Wealth Management and focuses on five pillars: Enterprise Risk Management Framework Execution, PBWM Risk Quantification, Global Risk Modeling Utility, Spot RWA Calculations & Analysis, and Product Governance. This role will report to the Director of Secured Lending Product Governance and will work closely with regional partners across product management, risk and controls teams to drive global product governance related to Residential Mortgages and HELOCs, Securities Based Lending, and Commercial Lending.Responsibilities:
Responsible for product governance for Secured Lending Products including Margin Loan and Tailored loans for specific target markets to meet client needs.
Work with country product and functional teams (Compliance Operations Finance, Risk) on:
Quarterly monitoring of product inventory to ensure a complete and accurate set of product details including product features, channels, etc.
Manage periodic product reviews across products.
Product integration activities across different regions and business including harmonizing product programs, risk rating approaches and new activities governance.
Bring product expertise to drive consistency in risk rating – via activities / controls mapped.
Improve high risk mortgage and secured lending mitigation plans and help streamline new activity proposals by leveraging best practices.
Facilitate accurate capture and identification of risk drivers for Secured products.
Identify potential emerging high risks across regions
Provide Support on critical global initiatives and emerging concepts
Lead and/or work on ad hoc projects that have a direct impact in Secured Lending
Qualifications:
10+ years of relevant Secured lending experience with hands on experience on product or risk teams
Knowledge of Loan to Value (LTV), customer equity, margin/LTV requirements, and the value of the asset or collateral. Knowledge of Wholesale Risk.
Self-starter, with excellent organizational skills and proven ability to work independently.
Strong influencing skills in a matrixed environment, with proven skills at getting ideas to execution
Experience working with internal/external partners with strong program management skills demonstrated on complex programs in large global firms
Ability to collaborate, influence, lead, partner, and negotiate with cross functional teams to deliver client needs, across regions and time zones
Understanding of identification of Risk and adequate Control framework to minimize Risk.
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
