RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce is working with a well-known institutional investment management firm in NYC that is in search of a Commodities Pricing Data Manager to work in industry-leading Commodities Data team. The commodity business unit is one of the newest and fastest growing profit centers, rapidly onboarding new markets and staff around the globe with ambitions to add physical trading capabilities.

Summary:In this role, the Commodities Pricing Data Manager will help build and lead a team of data professionals tasked with creating an accurate and high impact Commodities pricing data offering. They will work collaboratively with our Commodities Risk, Investment, and Technology teams to understand and prioritize the data needs of the business and help grow the business by providing high impact and actionable data. The Commodities Pricing Data Manager will partner closely with Commodities Risk Managers, Quants, and Developers.

Responsibilities: Partner with Commodities Risk, Investment and Technology to create and execute on a strategy to clean, analyze, and load historical pricing data across all Commodities assets and derivatives Specify the rules for analyzing historical price data for Commodities markets Create methodologies and procedures aimed at improving the quality of data delivered for the Commodities space while cleaning and scrubbing bad data points Create a systematic approach by formulating and implementing models for validating and correcting historical prices of commodities assets and derivatives Recruit, retain, and develop a team of Commodities Pricing Data experts Contribute to the overall product of the Commodities Data organization, helping the team validate, organize, and model Commodities price data Develop and maintain clean, well commented code for anomaly detection and scrubbing operations Work with Risk Management to help calibrate risk systems, particularly for new products and physical assets

REQUIREMENTS: 7+ years of experience working with pricing/market data in the Commodities space Experience leading high performing teams and direct management experience Deep understanding of Commodities markets, including most or all of the following: power, gas, oil, metals, agricultural products, freight Knowledge of and experience in the commodities trading space Strong technical skills in data wrangling technologies including Python (Pandas) and SQL Knowledge of how physical commodities assets and structured transactions and valued and modeled Enjoy and thrive working in a collaborative environment with an ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to different stakeholders across departments

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
