Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Data Governance Analyst for a Contract assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in New York, NY or Remote. This job will be a fit for someone with an interest in data governance, data taxonomies, conceptual models, and reference data. Responsibilities :
- Organizing, pulling, and comparing data using Python, Excel, and SQL
- Will need to automate tasks using python scripts that mainly pull and store values. For example, if a certain value is a flag, the script should send a notification of some sort.
- Connecting to SQL through python and pulling data to be compared to stored data in other locations, tools, or platforms
- Searching and iterating through lists or data frames in Pandas. Storing the results in a new list and setting parameters or threshold limits to find outliers
- Using python and excel to map reference data values across different domains and create unique identifiers for each value.
- Knowledge with API's are a plus
- Strong SQL skills (Oracle SQL a plus)
- Strong Excel skills with the ability to learn other analytic tools if necessary
- Python skills (We currently code in Anaconda Google Collab or Visual Studio on Windows systems)

- Any Informatica Axon or Reference 360 skills are a plus
