The Data Management Business Analyst is a key member of the Finance Transformation Office. Reporting to the Issue Management lead, the analyst will assist in the overall front-to-back execution of the issue management procedures. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to assist in managing the data concern process which includes: defining scope, identifying data quality issues, gathering data requirements, defining metrics, collaborating with data consumers/providers/owners on remediation of Data Quality issues, defining effective controls and business rules to improve overall issue management. The candidate will work with high priority and cross functional issues for the Finance Chief Data Office. A good understanding of the financial services industry, products, and Data Management is necessary. Excellent communication skills are required to work with individuals at various levels, and diverse teams of professionals across multiple geographies.Responsibilities:

Ensure Finance is following the data concern process and Citi Data Governance Policy for issue management

Partner with business and technology teams in the assessment, development, implementation, and monitoring of an effective Data control framework across finance and business applications by asset class

Facilitate the collection of data-related requirements and issues on behalf of Finance functional areas (Accounting, FP&A, Reporting, and Treasury)

Consolidate high priority data quality issues and assist in the development and delivery of Finance metrics to monitor the business outcome of remediation efforts.

Assist key cross functional stakeholders in the execution and implementation of key data management principles.

Analyze complex finance data matters, draw cogent conclusions, and deliver in a manner consumable by senior leadership

Establish and maintain a working partnership with the Business / Technology Teams

Employ project management principles to conduct planning, execution, delivery, and adoption issue management initiatives

Qualifications:

6-8 years of relevant experience

Excellent analytical skills, solid business judgment, be flexible and team-oriented with great interpersonal skills.

Knowledgeable about platforms, architecture, and technologies inherent to globally significant financial institutions.

Self-motivated with the ability to take action and make decisions in the absence of detailed instructions.

Ability to effectively communicate, both upwards and downwards, across Finance, Business, and Operation groups.

Proven ability to deal with ambiguity in a rapidly changing business environment, resolve problems, and offer impacting solutions.

Exceptional Excel and PowerPoint skills for complex analytics and impactful stakeholder presentations.

Education:

Bachelors/University degree required

Master’s degree preferred
