A leading transportation authority located in New York, NY is looking for a Desktop/ LAN/ Network Administrator for a 12 month contract.

Some onsite work is required throughout the life of the contract, and is likely to increase over time. Local candidates only

To be considered for this position, the client has advised that upon placement, consultants will be required to wear a mask under certain circumstances, show proof of full vaccination or submit on a weekly basis proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR diagnostic test.

Required Minimum Experience

Minimum 5 years' of experience

Required Skills

Hardware experience (especially in Dell PCs) including adding/removing/Servicing components, updating BIOS is needed.
Solid experience in Windows 10 (drivers, windows updates, installs) is required.
Solid Application knowledge in MS Office products and Adobe products is required.
Excellent troubleshooting skills in resolving issues with hardware, OS, software and printers required.
Excellent communication and customer service skills are required
Need to be able to physically lift 50 pounds of hardware.

Preferred Skills

Active directory experience is desired.
CADD software experience (AutoCAD/Bentley MicroStation) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Image, install and deliver new PCs to the CADD users at their desks
Resolve hardware/OS/software/printer/CADD issues that get assigned to our team via ServiceNow ticketing system.
Work with the CADD users who reach out directly with issues to resolve their issues.
Install software and printers on CADD workstations.
Work on special projects as they come up.
Maintain the CADD inventory system up to date.
Work in tandem with our ES&A CADD Admin group and be a Team player
